Sports Scholarships
ANOTHER 10 top athletes were added to the list of the sports scholarships and these were announced by the Basingstoke Sports Trust at the awards evening.
The 10 recipients will join more than 60 athletes already on the scheme, which is a great boost for everyone involved as it includes free use of the Sports Centre in Festival Place for five years.
The awards this year went to Thomas Baker (basketball), Andy Blow (athletics), Timothy Brownstone (showjumping), Laura Hook (triathlon), Kieran Maynard (biathlon), Steve Bateman (fencing), Sian and Marissa Laing (judo), Alicia McCornish (rugby) and Dave Ragan (athletics).
