Hampshire have signed Pakistan A player Imran Tahir as their overseas player for the remainder of the season.
The 29-year-old leg-spinner has previous county experience with Middlesex in 2003 and Yorkshire in 2007, and has more recently been playing in South Africa for The Titans.
Tahir has taken 240 wickets at 26.29 and his registration has been confirmed in time for him to play in Hampshire's first NatWest Pro40 match against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws, on Sunday at Trent Bridge.
