ST BEDE'S Catholic Church, in Popley, Basingstoke, has a regular prayer diary for each day of the week.

As well as praying for local people and organisations, the church also prays for the families and workers in the town centre as well as for all the roads within the parish, the street pastors and for all the people who work in pubs and clubs, in the hope that they enjoy a safe environment.

IN WHITCHURCH this Sunday, services at All Hallows begin with Holy Communion at 8am, parish communion at 10am and evening prayer at 6pm.

The Methodist Church has a service at 10.30am, when the speaker will be Dr Malcolm Stone.

THE Oakridge Methodist Church summer mini-fete will be on Saturday, from 3pm to 5pm, where there will be various stalls. Teas will also be available.
