News from the Pews July 17

SERVICES at Christ The King, in Brighton Hill, Basingstoke, are held every Sunday, at 9.30am, with Holy Communion, prayers, singing and Bible teaching.

On the second Sunday of each month, there is All Age Worship at 11am, which is a more informal service with the music group.

Every Friday, coffee and cake is served between 9.15am and 11.45am, and is also a chance to meet friends in the church lounge.

THE loose collection this Sunday, at Bramley church, is in aid of the Mission Aviation Fellowship, a charity which is dedicated to sending Christian teams of aircraft crew flying missionary doctors and medical supplies to hard-to-reach places in the Third World.

There will be Songs of Praise on Sunday, at St Mary The Virgin, Silchester, at 6pm, when Bramley church will be joining them.

CHURCHES Together, in Hartley Wintney, are holding an Ecumenical Service at old St Mary's Church on Sunday, at 6pm.

There will also be a recital of classical music at 5.15pm. All welcome to both events.

ON FRIDAY, July 25, at All Hallows, Whitchurch, a peal of bells will be rung, starting at about 10.30am and lasting about three hours.

The visiting ringers will be led by John Fielden, from Solihull.
