| Rupert Batho, managing director of Chineham Park, tries out the surf simulator |
CHINEHAM Park certainly made waves with its summer beach party.
About 500 occupants and employees at the business park turned up to enjoy the event and had the chance to try out a surf simulator in the process.
The park's managing director, Rupert Batho, said: "Chineham Park is home to more than 40 organisations, so we see it as a community and would like all who work here to feel as though they belong.
"Organising the annual fun day is our way of giving something back to them for making it such a great place to work."
The rain held off while the partygoers listened to a steel band and enjoyed a barbecue dished up by Caribbean Cookpot, a company that specialises in providing authentic Caribbean catering services, with chefs from both Barbados and Jamaica.
Donna Williams, who is a call dispatcher at Kofax, which was previously known as DICOM Group, said: "It was lovely to feel part of something bigger than just one company, and great to network with other people working in the park."
