Trout and about in Stockbridge

STOCKBRIDGE is holding a Trout and About' Food Fair on 2 August to celebrate the town's reputation as a destination for food lovers.

There will be around 20 stalls along the High Street from 10am until 4pm. The town will also be launching its new food trail for walkers and cyclists which encompasses culinary highlights locally.

There will be a wide variety of goods to buy including fresh and smoked trout, Hampshire buffalo meat and venison, ice-cream, bread, cakes, rapeseed oil and jams.

Executive chef Andy MacKenzie and UK Chocolate Master Mark Tilling from Lainston House Hotel, and Germain Marquis from the Clos du Marquis in Stockbridge will be giving cookery demonstrations.

Pubs and restaurants will be offering taster dishes throughout the day with a voucher scheme to enable visitors to try dishes.
