Prince Edward to open two buildings in one day
PRINCE Edward will officially open two new buildings in north Hampshire on the same day.
On November 27, the prince, who is the Earl of Wessex - the Queen's third son - will cut the tape for the new Elizabeth Hall, in Raven Road, Hook, which is a £1million community centre for acting, dance and social groups.
On the same day, he will open the new building for Burnham Copse Primary School, in Newchurch Road, Tadley.
The new Elizabeth Hall, funded by development money, grants and about £500,000 in council taxpayers' money, has replaced the old Elizabeth Hall, which had stood in the Raven Road site since the 1950s.
Councillor Antony Hunter, a member of Hook Parish Council, said: "We are delighted that Prince Edward, who has a strong interest in the arts and theatre, is going to be coming down to open this new building."
Pupils moved into the new £2.7m building for Burnham Copse Primary School in September.
The school was formed in January 2007 following a merger between Burnham Copse infant and junior schools due to declining numbers.
Headteacher Lyn Downes said: "Having a member of the Royal family to officially open the new building is very exciting
and a fitting end to a successful team project."
Timings for the visit have not been published.
Prince Edward is also scheduled to visit a computer company in Aldershot on the same day.

So it's double-bubble for Eddy on that day then?
He'll need a years rest after all that exertion? And get it!
