REVIEW: Basingstoke Live Fringe, Thursday, Light Lounge 8:48am Fri 18 Jul 08 ANOTHER opportunity to sample the acts playing on one of the main stages at the weekend took place in the Light Lounge, kicking off with Johnny Virgo, a very versatile solo artist who featured on the recent 100% Reading double CD.

REVIEW: Live music at The Star, Guildford 10:30am Wed 11 Jun 08 WITH two of the billed bands having recently played Basingstoke, I felt duty bound to head for The Star in Guildford to check out whether they really were as good as I originally thought. There was a rather meagre crowd, unusual for a Saturday night, but those of us who were there anticipated having a great time.
