If you are looking for a job or will be doing so soon, Jobcentre Plus is a good place to start. Jobcentre Plus has bright and comfortable offices offering a range of services and information to help. Easy to use touch-screen jobpoints help you look at vacancies throughout the UK and Europe.

The Jobcentre Plus vacancies database is the largest of its kind in Europe, with thousands of new vacancies every day. You can search for the type of job that interests you, and specify the area you wish to look in - perhaps close to home, or further afield; you can even search for vacancies in the rest of Europe.

Our Jobcentre Direct service is a quick and easy way to look for work. Simply telephone Jobseeker Direct telephone on 0845 6060 234 and an adviser will tell you about opportunities to meet your needs. (Textphone for people with hearing difficulties: 0845 6055255).

You can also visit the Jobcentre Plus web site: www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk and select the option for searching for jobs. This means that you can look for jobs on the Jobcentre Plus database without having to visit a Jobcentre Plus office.

We understand that some of our customers have particular difficulties when looking for work, from childcare concerns to mobility problems. Our specialist advisers help lone parents, people with disabilities, older workers and those on health related benefits with a range of support and advice to get back to work. In addition, we work with a range of local organisations who provide various types of support. These include training providers who can help people gain new skills, or update their skills.
