Detectives gain more time
MURDER detectives have been granted extra time to quiz a man in connection with the discovery of a woman's burned body in Dummer.
A 27-year-old man from London was arrested in the capital yesterday evening and was brought back to Hampshire for questioning.
Detectives have been granted permission by magistrates to detain the man for another 36 hours for further questioning, allowing them to detain him until Saturday morning.
The arrest follows the grim discovery of a woman's badly burned body, which was stuffed inside a suitcase, by a dog walker just off Wayfarer's Way in Dummer early last Thursday.
