Garland gains Skoda success
A COMPANY which serves customers from around north Hampshire has been honoured at a top industry event.
Garland Motors Limited, based in Aldershot, and its sister company Winchester Motor Company Limited were both recognised at the 2007 Skoda Retailer of the Year awards.
Both companies, owned by the Mills-Goodlet family, achieved a very high level of customer satisfaction during 2007 and each collected their silver award for outstanding performance from Skoda UK, at the prestigious Waldorf Hotel in London.
Peter Davidson, general manager of Garland Motors Ltd, was delighted by the performance of all of his staff during 2007.
He said: "Customer satisfaction is so important in a competitive marketplace. We not only have a desirable product but also staff that care about looking after their customers - a very commendable attitude in an industry that habitually is not renowned for its ability to understand and care for its customers' needs and wishes.
"We are also proud to have been awarded top performing sales team 2007 (Aldershot)."
The company is the official Skoda main retailer for Aldershot and Winchester and covers surrounding areas. It provides new and used Skoda cars and recently expanded to become a supplier to the fleet business sector.
Skoda is well known for its exciting, all-new Fabia range, the Roomster family car and the Octavia Hatchback, Estate and Sporty vRS models, which complement the top-of-the-range Superb.
This luxury model made its debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale later in the year.
Both of the company's sites have fully-equipped service and parts departments (the Aldershot premises at a separate site), with the Winchester branch having a fully functional body shop for body repair and insurance work.
Full service and parts facilities are available to all Skoda and VAG models, along with tyre supply/fitting, MOT testing and full diagnostic checking.
